The Volta ao Algarve (Tour of the Algarve in English) is a portuguese stage cycling race which is disputed in the region of Algarve in Portugal.
Considered as the second most important race of Portugal behind the Tour of Portugal, the Volta ao Algarve recently joined the UCI ProSeries calendar.
Stefan Küng distinguished himself there by winning a time-trial stage in 2019.
Stage 1 – Portimão > Lagos – 189,5 km – 5th may
Stage 2 – Sagres > Alto da Fóia – 182,8 km – 6th may
Stage 3 – Faro > Tavira – 203,1 km – 7th may
Stage 4 (chrono) – Lagoa > Lagoa – 20,3 km – 8th may
Stage 5 – Albufeira > Alto da Malhão – 170,1 km – 9th may
