Tour of Romandy

The Tour of Romandy is a swiss stage cycling race created in 1947 thanks to the journalist Max Girardet who wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Union cycliste suisse.

The race is disputed around April and starts with a prologue. The parcours is hilly due to the Jura and Alps mountains which the race borrows in the west part of Switzerland.

The Tour of Romandy takes part of the UCI World Tour calendar.
