Tour of Romandy (2.UWT)

7 stages

The Tour de Romandie is a stage race held annually in Switzerland, usually in April, in the French-speaking region of Romandie. Created in 1947, the race is part of the UCI World Tour calendar and attracts some of the best riders from the international peloton. It consists of several stages, combining hilly routes and time trials, with mountainous challenges, particularly in the Swiss Alps.

The Tour de Romandie is considered an ideal preparation for the major spring and summer races, such as the Giro d’Italia, thanks to its varied profile and demanding stages. The race is also renowned for its beautiful climbs, including the Col de la Forclaz and Mont Chasseral. Many great names in cycling have won the event, such as Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, and more recently, Chris Froome.
