Tour of the Alps

The Tour of the Alps, formerly know as Giro Trentino is an stage race which disputed around the italian and austrian Alps.

Created in 1962 and disputed in April, the race is considered as a preparatory race for the Giro d’Italia because of its montainous parcours.

The Tour of the Alps takes part of the UCI Pro Series calendar since 2020 although this year’s edition could not take place due to the covid-19 health crisis.

Thibaut Pinot distinguished himself several times there by finishing second of the general classification in 2017 and by winning it in 2018.

Stage 1 – Brixen > Innsbruck – 140,6 km – 19th april
Stage 2 – Innsbruck > Feichten Im Kaunertal – 121,5 km – 20th april
Stage 3 – Imst > Naturns – 162 km – 21st april
Stage 4 – Naturns > Valle del Chiese/ Pieve di Bono – 168,6 km – 22nd april
Stage 5 – Valle del Chiese/ Idroland > Riva del Garda – 120,9 km – 23rd april
