Gent-Wevelgem, officially known as Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields is a one day, classic Belgian cycling race.

The race is usually disputed at the end of March on the last sunday before the Tour of Flanders. However due to the covid-19 health crisis, the Flandrian classic tour and so Gent-Wevelgem has been postponed to October.

Gent-Wevelgem is reputed as a sprinter’s classic due to its relatively flat course but there are certain difficulties like the mount Kemmel and its high ascent percentages on cobbles that will hype up the race.

On this year’s edition, more than 254 kilometers are scheduled between the cities of Ypres and Wevelgem.
