The race line-up
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, 32nd Olympiad of the modern era will take place between July 23 and August 8, 2021. The initial dates were July 24 to August 9 2020 but due to the covid-19 health crisis, the CIO decided to postpone the Olympics to this year.
Cycling has been on the program of the Summer Olympics since the first edition of the modern era in 1896, along with athletics, artistic gymnastics, fencing and swimming.
For this Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, a mountainous parcours is on the program for our riders representing their countries (David Gaudu: France // Stefan Küng: Switzerland // Attila Valter: Hungary // Kevin Geniets: Luxembourg) with more than 4500m of ascents starting from the capital Tokyo and its Musashinonomori Park before climbing three major climbs including the famous Mount Fuji.
