The race line-up
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, 32nd Olympiad of the modern era will take place between July 23 and August 8, 2021. The initial dates were July 24 to August 9 2020 but due to the covid-19 health crisis, the CIO decided to postpone the Olympics to this year.
Cycling has been on the program of the Summer Olympics since the first edition of the modern era in 1896, along with athletics, artistic gymnastics, fencing and swimming. The Individual Time-Trial is therefore more recent with a first appearance in 1996.
For this Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Individual Time-Trial, a relatively hilly course is on the program for our rider Stefan Küng, European champion of the discipline who will represent his own country of Switzerland. He will set off for 2 laps of a 22.1 km loop on the Fuji International Speedway.
