The Itzulia Basque Country (Vuelta Ciclista al Pays Vasco in Spanish) is stage race which takes place on the mountainous roads of the Baqsue Country. The race also takes part of the UCI World Tour calendar.

Created in 1924 under the name “Northen Circuit”, the race stopped existing between 1936 to 1968 before coming back and being disputed each year.

During last year’s edition, David Gaudu distinguished himself by winning the sixth and last stage in Arrate, notably finishing ahead of the GC winner, Primoz Roglic.

Stage 2 – Leitza > Viana – 207,9 km – 5th april
Stage 3 – Laudio > Amurrio – 181,7 km – 6th april
Stage 4 – Vitoria-Gasteiz > ngeteam Parke Zamudio – 185,6 km – 7th april
Stage 5 – Ingeteam Parke Zamudio > Mallabia – 163,7 km – 8th april
Stage 6 – Eibar > Arrate – 135,6 km – 9th april
